CBIG Responds to PBSP’s Call to Help Rebuild Marawi
CBIG responds to PBSP’s call to its member companies, to pledge support for the rebuilding of Marawi, during the 47th annual membership meeting of Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) held at the Dusit Thani Manila. CBIG has been a member company of Philippine Business for Social Progress, the social development arm of the private sector, since 2013. As of January 23, 2018, PBSP was able to raise additional funds worth P30 Million from its active members. CBLIC supported the Family Recovery Package of PBSP for Marawi worth P50,000. The package of assistance includes the following components: (1) Food Security- FAITH (Food Always in the Home) Gardening tools, materials and seedling worth P4,500; (2) Non-Food items- Home kit with cooking materials and other home essentials worth P3,600; (3) Economic Revival- Sulong Kabuhayan in the form of zero interest loan for micro-entrepreneurs worth P22,000; (4) Water Security- Water Purifier to gain access to safe drinking water worth P3,500; and, (5) Education and Nutrition- student starter kit as well as 120 days of supplemental feeding worth P16,400.
